The following information is being provided per your request concerning the type of programs and extended service we provide to families and at-risk youth under the JJCPA funding. Without this funding, service now provided will not continue.

Paradise Alternative To Drugs ($62,995.)  Operated by the Paradise Unified School District.  Funds the Straight , Straight Up, and SURGE programs which offer three levels of drug counseling and education depending on the child’s level of drug or alcohol abuse.  140 children served.

Family Treatment Program ($258,808) operated by the Parent Education Network (CBO.)  Funds family counseling services addressing substance abuse, marital status, financial stability, education, health, family violence, food, shelter, clothing, coping skills, and support networks.  131 children and associated family members served.

Alcohol and Drug Counseling For Native American Youth ($36,651) operated by Feather River Tribal Health (CBO.)  Offers individual and family drug and alcohol counseling, and family resilience therapeutic and cultural activities for indigenous Native American youth and their families.  45 children and associated family members served.

Boys and Girls Club After School Activities ($253,251) operated by the Boys and Girls Club (CBO.)  Provides supervised and safe activities for youth aged 8 to 18 years.  Structured programs address character and leadership; health and life skills; education and career; the arts; and sports, fitness, and recreation.  272 children served.

Butte County Juvenile Drug Court ($85,689.)  Operated by the Butte County Probation Department and the Butte county Superior court.  Provides for an intensively supervised caseload of juveniles involved in the criminal justice system with severe drug and alcohol problems.  Program involves frequent reviews by the Drug Court Judge, immediate sanctions, intensive supervision by a probation Officer, and frequent testing for drug and alcohol use.  26 children served.
