This course will provide management-level staff with pragmatic solutions to real-world issues in their leadership roles. Topics will include leadership vs. management, thinking like a Chief, implementing new processes, dealing with personnel issues, overcoming challenges, running productive meetings and systems, and effective team building.

Target Audience: All management-level staff within the field of Probation. Other staff identified by departments who would benefit from the training.

Instructor: TR Merickel, Retired Chief Probation Officer at Kern County Probation Department

Location: Visalia, CA

Dates: February 21 to February 22, 2024

Times: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Daily
