San Bernardino County Probation: Martha Salamanca’s Breast Cancer Survival Story

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, San Bernardino County Probation met with Probation Corrections Officer Martha Salamanca, a breast cancer survivor who shared her story in a video interview to raise awareness of breast cancer.

Martha bravely shares her experience of being diagnosed with breast cancer. She expresses gratitude for the friends, family, and others who supported her during a difficult time. As of September of last year, Martha has been declared cancer-free and provides words of encouragement to those still fighting.

This video provides hope for individuals who are currently facing breast cancer or a loved one fighting. San Bernardino County wants to emphasize that you are not alone. There is a community of probation officers who have faced and overcome breast cancer.
