CCR: Advanced Practice for Foster Care Placement

Training

California’s Continuum of Care Reform (CCR) is creating significant change in the delivery of services to youth and their families involved in the juvenile probation system.  This one-day course will move beyond the basics of CCR and will provide an advanced, interactive training session that includes how the juvenile probation placement process is enhanced by the requirements of CCR.  Among the topics to be addressed through practical application: the relevance of CCR to juvenile probation and the requirements, child and family teaming (CFT), the Resource Family Approval (RFA) process, Interagency Placement Committee (IPC), and examples and strategies from probation departments across the state.

Target Audience: This course is designed for case carrying DPOs working in juvenile probation placement units.  Supervisors may also find this course informative.
