CPOC to Host Zoom Meeting on FFPSA Part 1 State Block Grant Funds and Opt-in Process

Training

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) recently released ACL 22-23  and CFL 21/22-84 outlining the framework and requirements for developing a comprehensive prevention planning process along with funding details to assist county probation and child welfare departments with preparing for Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) Part I implementation. Counties must submit a letter of intent on their desire to opt-in to Part I and commit to developing and participating in a comprehensive planning process with county and non-governmental partners. Funding is being provided to county departments that opt-in to this process either separately or jointly with their child welfare partners. There are significant requirements that go along with opting in and this webinar is intended to outline those requirements, highlight key considerations  when making a decision to opt-in and offer some suggestions to assist in the planning process. This webinar will be offered after the state’s overarching webinar on comprehensive planning on March 30th and tailored to assisting probation departments in making their decision as well as providing a discussion forum. CDSS staff will also be present and available for any questions that may arise.
