This module presents practical steps and considerations for effective family engagement and involvement practices which contribute to increased positive outcomes for youth and families within youth justice systems. Research reflects that working together with families to reach agreement on case plans reduces court time and costs and families more rapidly avail themselves to services. Participants will learn effective family engagement strategies that produce desistance from future criminal acts.
