The self-paced learning will teach probation officers the introductory basics of felony sentencing. The class will be designed for a person having little or no exposure to the felony sentencing system. Students will learn basic terminology, the basic rules governing eligibility for probation, the structure of a probation sentence, and a sentence to state prison or under PC § 1170(h). Attendees do not need to have any prior experience with felony sentencing.
