This course will provide an understanding of storytelling in the media while identifying ways to highlight the positive work you and your department accomplish on public platforms. Topics discussed in this course include how you should address adverse stories involving probation, how to work with your media relations personnel to identify material for public outreach, as well as strategies and tactics to identify inspiring stories that make for a compelling narrative that can engage local media. This course is for any probation staff at all levels interested in learning how to get positive stories in the media.
