Matching Criminal Justice Interventions by Risk, Need, Responsivity (RNR)
Not Sponsored by CPOC

Training

To be effective, safe, and cost-efficient, interventions in community corrections require substantial modifications based on the risk and need profiles of participants.  This presentation will review a typology of risk-and-need profiles for adult and juvenile offenders, and describe concrete clinical and supervisory adaptations that are required to treat and manage various sub-types of participants effectively.  Audience members will learn scientific principles of evidence-based treatment, supervision, and behavior modification, and how to modify these services to optimize results in specific cases.
