Understanding and Responding to the Mentally-Ill Offender – Sacramento
This course meets the BSCC Mental Health Grant Requirement - CLASS FULL


This class will present on overview of mental health issues, including diagnosis, psychopharmacology, and dangerousness, as well as how mental illness has increasingly become a justice system problem. We will discuss research-based approaches to effective supervision of mentally-ill offenders, including the role of the probation officer, and responding to individuals suffering from specific disorders.

*STC Tuition of $50 can be applied to the BSCC Mental Health Grant.
