Webinar – Session 3: CSEC Harm Reduction

The use of a harm reduction approach has been identified as a promising practice in engaging with youth who have been abused through commercial sexual exploitation. This approach aims to reduce the impact of risky behaviors over time and to assist the youth in their long-term safety and stability. This 2-hour webinar will be presented by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Child Trafficking Response Unit. The course will identify the historical context of harm reduction, its application to commercially sexually exploited youth and provide strategies for how to use harm reduction in your practice as probation officers.

Targeted Audience: Probation CSEC coordinators and probation staff at all levels.
