MAXIMIZING EDUCATIONAL SUCCESS THROUGH RELATIONSHIPS AND RESOURCES

The focus of this session is understanding how meaningful, developmental relationships are key to improving educational and life outcomes for system-involved youth. A framework for relationships, related strategies, and data will be discussed to address the barriers for system-involved youth and their natural support systems in navigating educational systems and advocacy. The session will be presented through the equity and systemic lenses, considering the access, opportunity and achievement gaps, as well as adult mental models.
