Child and Family Team Meetings: Facilitation Training – Live Webinar
Course Full
This 4-day virtual training provides participants with the basic
knowledge and skills to facilitate a Child and Family Team (CFT)
meeting. Utilizing the Integrated Core Practice Model
(ICPM) as the foundational guide for CFT meeting facilitators,
trainees will learn: 1) key elements of team meetings for safety
and case planning 2) procedural basics of team meeting
facilitation 3) the role and skills needed to be an effective CFT
facilitator 4) structured problem-solving and solution-focused
dialogue within team meetings. Although probation is not required
to complete the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS),
probations’ involvement of sharing and receiving foster youths’
information from the CANS are crucial components in assisting in
the safety, permanency, and well-being of foster youth. This
course will provide an overview of CANS and cover the main areas
that are applicable to probation.
Please note that attendees must complete all four days of the
training. Due to high demand, we request that maximum of two
participants attend from each county. Additional course
offerings will be available. The next one will start on June
21st. Registration for June offering will be released
mid-May.
