This course meets BSCC’s Manager Core Requirement. 

This course is designed to prepare mid-level managers for executive positions in California probation departments. This is a two week academy. Topics to be covered in week one are the following: Leadership in Probation, LPI 360 Assessment, Individual Leadership Styles, Leadership Planning, Project and Change Management, Human Resources and Workforce Planning. Topics covered in week two are the following: Ethics, Evidence-Based Practices and Data-Decision Making, Strategic Planning, Operational Management, Communications & Media, Budget & Fiscal Management and Wellness.

Week 1: August 8-12, 2022 (Mon to Thur 8:00am to 5:30pm; Fri 8:00am to 12:00pm)

Week 2: September 12-16, 2022
Mon 1:00pm-5:00pm | Tues to Thur 8:00am to 5:30pm; Fri 8:00am to 1:00pm)

Attendees will also be required to complete up to 4-hours of self-paced learning.
