County Spotlight: Yuba County Probation’s F.O.R. Families Graduation

YUBA COUNTY, Calif., — On March 14, 2025, Yuba County Probation celebrated the achievements of participants in the F.O.R. Families program at a graduation ceremony held at the TEAM Center in Marysville. Eleven individuals completed the outpatient substance-abuse treatment program, and six people also earned their high school diplomas in partnership with the Yuba County Office of Education.

F.O.R. (For Our Recovery) Families offers intense outpatient treatment including group and individual therapy, treatment readiness, aftercare support, and regular check-ins, with the duration varying according to each person’s needs.

During the ceremony, graduates shared how the program helped them regain stability, reconnect with family, and find renewed purpose. One graduate, Robin Elliott, spoke about being clean for nearly nine months and how much her life improved, including her involvement in her children’s lives and meaningful volunteer work.

This event underscores Yuba County Probation’s commitment to promoting accountability and rehabilitation. By building bridges to education and recovery, the department is helping participants rebuild lives, strengthen families, and contribute more positively to the community.
