LASSEN, Calif., July 24, 2026 - The Lassen County Board of Supervisors took time to recognize the vital role of local probation professionals during their Tuesday meeting, officially proclaiming July 19th through the 25th, as Probation Services Week in Lassen County.

The board resolution highlighted the essential contributions of Probation Chief Jennifer Branning’s department, emphasizing their focus on community safety, restorative justice and evidence-based rehabilitation.

In the formal proclamation, supervisors lauded the Lassen County Probation Department for utilizing an “accountability lens” to connect justice-involved individuals with the individualized rehabilitative services necessary for long-term success.

What Is Probation?

The Vital Duties of the Lassen County Probation Department
