From Ventura County Probation Agency

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. — June 4, 2026 — What began as a routine probation contact turned into a multi‑agency narcotics seizure valued at over $2.1 million — thanks to the sharp instincts and investigative skill of Ventura County Probation Agency DPO II Monceaux.

When Jason Klausmeyer reported for his probation appointment, DPO II Monceaux coordinated with the Simi Valley PD‑PROS Officer to conduct a vehicle search. Her proactive decision resulted in locating:

  • 2 kilograms of ketamine
  • $8,000 in U.S. currency

This discovery set off a chain of events that ultimately exposed a large‑scale drug manufacturing and trafficking operation.

Later that evening, detectives executed search warrants at the suspects’ San Clemente residence and storage units, seizing:

  • 85,000 counterfeit Adderall pills (methamphetamine)
  • 25,000 Ecstasy pills (MDMA)
  • 30 lbs. of ketamine
  • 1 lb. of fentanyl
  • 7 lbs. of cocaine
  • 10 lbs. of psilocybin
  • Over $27,000 in cash, gold, and silver

The suspects were arrested and booked on multiple narcotics‑related charges.

This case is a powerful example of how probation officers’ vigilance and field expertise directly protect our communities. DPO II Monceaux’s actions were the catalyst for dismantling a major narcotics pipeline operating across Orange, Los Angeles, and Ventura Counties.

We also extend appreciation to our partners at Simi Valley Police Department, Orange County Sheriff’s Department, and Costa Mesa Police Department for their coordinated efforts.
