NAVIGATING THE COURT PROCESS UNDER FAMILY FIRST PREVENTION SERVICES ACT (FFPSA) PART IV

This session will focus on the court involvement in juvenile justice proceedings, specifically, the court process designed to implement Part IV of FFPSA. Further, this session will discuss permanency options when a youth has completed treatment in a short-term residential therapeutic program (STRTP) including return home, guardianships, and nonminor dependent status. In this session participants will be able to 1) explain the court process as it pertains the FFPSA 2) apply the court process through a hypothetical situation 3) explain permanency options for youth exiting care.
