Positively Impacting Lives. Shaping Safer Communities.
The University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute (UCCI), housed within the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH), is an internationally recognized leader in promoting effective and meaningful intervention for rehabilitation and desistence.
Driven by a clear vision to positively impact lives and shape safer communities, UCCI’s mission is to research, develop, disseminate, and implement evidence-based practices in corrections. UCCI partners with agencies across the United States and around the world to transform correctional systems through identifying service gaps and piloting innovative, research-backed solutions while shepherding continuous quality improvement and sustainable implementation. Their comprehensive suite of services includes staff training, online learning, technical assistance, program design, research & evaluation services, and organizational sustainability support.
Grounded in research, UCCI also offers a range of products and tools to support client assessment, group interventions, prosocial interactions, program evaluation and more. Once trained on these resources, agencies may freely use and reproduce UCCI materials to support their work—ensuring accessibility and fidelity without financial barriers.
