JAG Funding Course Description: This course will provide participants an understanding of working with mentally ill adolescents in detention. Participants will learn skills for working with common diagnosis, such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, Eating Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Conduct Disorder, Impulse Disorder and Personality Disorders. Adolescent depression and suicide prevention will also be address. This course will entail combination of lecture and group break-out sessions. The intended audience for this training is staff that work in the detention facilities.
