This course meets BSCC’s Manager Core Requirement. 

This course is designed to prepare mid-level managers for executive positions in California probation departments. This is a two week academy. Topics to be covered in week one are the following: Leadership in Probation, LPI 360 Assessment, Individual Leadership Styles, Leadership Planning, Evidence-Based Practices, Data Driven Decision Making, Strategic Planning, Human Resources and Workforce Planning. Topics to be covered in week two are the following: Project Management, Operational Management, Communications & Media, Collaboration & Interagency Planning, Budget & Fiscal Management.

Dates and Times:
Week 1: October4-8, 2021 (Mon to Thur 8:00am to 5:30pm; Fri 8:00am to 12:00pm)
Week 2: November 1-5, 2021 (Mon to Thur 8:00am to 5:30pm; Fri 8:00am to 1:00pm)
