What is CalAIM and Who is Eligible? STC #01309099
The course provides basic familiarization training about the CalAIM Justice-Involved initiative. Topics briefly covered in the training include: CalAIM definitions and goals, eligibility requirements, pre-release services, enhanced care management, and community supports. There is also a discussion about the importance of collaboration across departments and service providers when implementing CalAIM. The course is designed to provide a basic, high level, comprehensive overview of the CalAIM Justice-Involved initiative. At the end of the course, probation staff without previous exposure or experience with CalAIM will have an understanding of what CalAIM is, who is eligible, and why the reform is so important for the clients served by probation departments in California.
Target Audience: The target audience for this course are probation staff that are not familiar with CalAIM and have not had any previous training in the subject. The audience may include facilities staff, adult and juvenile staff, and non-sworn staff.
