INYO COUNTY, Calif., — March 21, 2026 — The Inyo County Probation Department, in partnership With the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council, has announced the release of a Request for Proposals offering new grant opportunities to expand community-based services for at-promise youth during Fiscal Years 2026-2027.

The initiative advances the county’s commitment to reducing juvenile crime and truancy by investing in prevention-focused, evidence-informed programming that strengthens youth resiliency, promotes positive development, and enhances long-term well-being.

The JJCC has allocated $150,000 to support as many as seven community providers through two $25,000 grants over the next two years and five one-year grants of $10,000 each.

Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, for-profit entities and government agencies.

All funded programs must align with the JJCC’s prevention focus areas, inducting preparing youth for the future, fostering positive relationships and connections and strengthening coping skills and responsible decision making.

Through this RFP, the probation department and the JJCC seek to partner with community based providers capable of delivering measurable programming that strengthens protective factors for youth and contributes to safer, healthier communities across the county.

The deadline to apply is Saturday, March 28. Application details, deadlines, and submission instructions are available at tinyurl.com/InyoYouthGrants2026
