Brandon has been a probation officer for over 20 years, the last 12 years as a supervisor. He currently oversees the juvenile services portion of SYTF, and coordinates with juvenile hall staff, the Probation planning and implementation and evaluation (PIE team), justice partners, community agency partners, youth and their families.
We’re excited to share an all-new episode of our podcast The California Probation Connection, featuring a conversation with Lake County Chief Probation Officer Wendy Mondfrans as she shares about Lake County Probation’s annual Resilient Reentry Event. This yearly event brings together justice-involved individuals, families, community partners, and local service providers to connect people with resources and support as they navigate reentry and build a path toward successful, meaningful lives.
Chief Mondfrans discusses the importance of community partnerships, accessible resources, and creating opportunities for individuals returning to the community. She also shares how the event reflects Lake County Probation’s commitment to supporting second chances and strengthening connections that contribute to successful reentry.
Whether you’re a probation chief, probation professional, community partner, or anyone working to support successful reentry, Chief Mondfrans offers valuable insight into how one event can bring agencies, organizations, and community members together to create meaningful connections and expand opportunities for those returning home. Tune in for ideas and inspiration that can help strengthen reentry efforts in your own community.
