Jose Ramirez is the Chief Probation Officer for the Monterey County Probation Department and is the first Mexican-American to hold this position in Monterey County. Prior to his appointment as CPO in February 2025, Chief Ramirez served with the Monterey County Probation Department for more than 28 years, including as Assistant Chief Probation Officer under former CPO Todd Keating.
