As Program Director for the Shasta College STEP-UP and NEXT-STEP programs, Robert oversees both on-campus and juvenile justice educational programs with over 100 students across 10,000 square miles in three counties. Robert has overseen the growth of STEP-UP since assuming his role in 2016 from 10 students to over 100. He was selected for the first national cohort of the National Council for Higher Education in Prison and is a graduate of the California Community College Leadership and Social Justice Institutes. He retired from the Army as a Sergeant Major after 22 years of service. Robert lives in Redding with his wife Tammy and has two grown daughters.
