        CLASS FULL

This eight-hour course explores both practical and research-based
information on the importance of identifying risk factors and
using appropriate risk assessment tools to develop supervision
case plans for adult domestic violence offenders that leads to
reduced recidivism. Trainees will review and apply how criminal
history, substance use, employment, antisocial personality and
attitude, and individual factors contribute to a domestic
violence offender’s risk level, and how dynamic risk factors can
be addressed by applying the Risk-Need-Responsivity principles as
a framework. Strategies for effective collaboration with the
court, community, batterer’s intervention and other service
providers will be addressed. Trainees will increase their risk
assessment knowledge and skills for working effectively with
domestic violence offenders and their capacity to incorporate
strategies to address unique case supervision factors into their
  practice.
