Title IV-E provides for federal reimbursement for portions of “Maintenance” and “Administrative” costs incurred by public agencies for working with children in foster care or at imminent risk of foster care.

Title IV-E Pre Placement Case Plan_ CDSS Rev Final May 2026 This case plan meets the Title IV-E Candidacy pre-placement case plan requirements outlined in ACL 14-36 but has also been updated with terminology and optional fields. Optional fields are noted. This has been approved by CDSS. County probation departments claiming traditional IV-E Candidacy may continue using the case plan contained in ACL 14-36 or may use this updated version.
